QUEENS, N.Y. - Oct. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth -- a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker Movement. It's a place where people of all ages and backgrounds gather together to show what they are making and share what they are learning.

#Dayone Makeblock CEO – Jasen Wang took part in the Makercon, is a professional conference by and for makers, and the theme is about self-funded start-ups: how to bootstrap a company. Jasen talked about his bitter start-up experience when he was alone to design the whole product for the whole year and then tried to convince partners to build a company. “I’m from a farmer family, which don’t have much money or background to support me after I graduated. However, I really loves robotics, in spare time, I will buy some components to build any robots I imaged in my mind.”

#Daytwo The whole Makeblock team starts to enjoy the night party with all sponsors with delicious food.

#Daythree and four Makeblock booth was set up on Maker Pavilion tent, centralized by Littlebits, Atmel, Seeedstudio and more.

Some star products like mBot, which is the STEM educational robot, draw the biggest attention by kids. This is the photo when kids fight each other on soccer field with mBots controlled by joysticks. mBot also becomes the best-seller on makershed since September and was stocked out the first day of Maker movement 2015.

New products like all-direction mecanum vehicle refreshed Makeblock fans with cool spinning skills. It can run all directions and even spin fast. It’s also picked as the favorite toy by Maker Faire Editor.

Wall.E, the new and cute robot was tagged with Blue Ribbon by Maker Faire Editor too, the pity is we forget to take the photo for it.

Johnny Five is the first cooperative project with Intel Edison, which was the super star and took multiple photos by visitors.

ZeroPi, which is the development board created by Makeblock and compatible with arduino and raspberrypi, also stages on this Maker Faire.

Another robot is XY Plotter, which draws the attention of both adults and kids after it’s customized into mini version with camera. Visitors can handwrite any pictures or words and then scanned by camera to be outlined in PC software. XY plotter can copy the whole pic with laser head. Some kids draw tiny souvenirs and bring home, and some adult laser company logo as memento.

In this Maker movement, some competitors like Littlebits, Vexrobotics, Lego also noticed this start-up Chinese company and showed the cooperative interests in further projects.

"No matter what’s in your mind, Makeblock can make it come true with thorough support of mechanical parts, electronic modules and software", said Jasen Wang.

The highest vision of Makeblock to prove that products can not only be "made in China" or ironically "copied in China", it can also be "created in China" or "Made in China" for real.
