Crazy Dave's Art & Stuff - Retro Posters!

MINNEAPOLIS - Sept. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Crazy Dave creates unique posters inspired by Soviet propaganda from the 1940's and WW2. Crazy Dave has recently re-branded this year, but has been creating art & posters for over 10 years.

But who is Crazy Dave? Crazy Dave is known as David Shannon, creating a unique blend of posters. The posters are a blend of serious but funny. Inspired originally to poke fun at Social Realism and Vladimir Lenin, it was intended as a joke. Starting with a silly wine label called Oktober Red Wine, this was shown at art shows in Northeast Minneapolis. It drew great interest, created posters, then t-shirts of this design and upon suggestion from my audience, I created more posters in that particular style.

It evolved into a Yuri Gagarin, telling american astronauts "Kiss My Ass, I was here first". The reception was great, and hearing people snort and laugh out loud was gold. My drive to create is fueled by how much people laugh or really "get it" when creating a new piece of art.
