DETROIT - Sept. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Mobile/wireless technologies are becoming increasingly imperative to effective implementation of public safety services. On September 14th at 6:00 p.m. the Detroit Chapter of Mobile Monday Michigan, a subsidiary of the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan (MTAM), will explore this topic at an event hosted by TechTown Detroit.

During this program Mobile Monday Detroit will present Michigan-based experts who will provide the perspective of the safety services end-user, as well as the technology service provider to showcase what is already being done, as well as additional opportunities for those interested in exploring this technology sector. Speakers for the evening will include:

•   Michael Bouchard, Sheriff, Oakland County

•   Mary Harris, Sales Executive, Salamander Technologies

Though wireless technologies such as the ubiquitous radio and mobile ticketing solutions are common, public safety technology today is increasingly utilizing ever more sophisticated technologies to meet the needs of today’s safety service organizations. Technologies that enable data sharing across disparate public safety communications systems, as well as sensors and cameras that improve awareness or transmit biometrics and location data, are critical to reducing injury and loss of life, as are many other uses of mobile/wireless technologies.

Attendance at Mobile Monday Detroit is FREE, but advance registration is required at http://meetup.com/Mobile-Monday-Detroit. Free parking is available in TechTown lots. Refreshments will be provided by our host sponsor, TechTown Detroit (http://techtowndetroit.org/).
