An interview with Thomas Atamain about how he became a premiere real estate agent and what it means to be one

Aug. 31, 2015 - PRLog -- Real estate has been a constant pull in the life of Thomas Atamian. After growing up in Chicago and graduating from college in Milwaukee, he moved to Los Angeles in 2005, where he thought he would pursue sport law and become the next Jerry Maguire. Also having an interest in real estate, he began shadowing his cousin who was an agent, and quickly fell in love with the industry. Thomas received his license and began working on building his client base. It was a difficult beginning, but he was determined to make it work. He held many odd jobs while he worked in real estate, including working as a busboy and waiter. At one point, he began considering a more stable career in law enforcement, but just as he was driving home from completing one of the last steps in becoming a police officer, he received a critical call that changed his entire career. "It was a business manager who received my number from one of his clients, and ended up calling me", Thomas explains. Working with this person led to multiple referrals, including client in the entertainment industry.

Thomas has since become and agent to the stars, working with celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Benji Madden, Pete Wentz and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas. And while he is focusing more on luxury properties, he aims to provide superior service to all of his clients, regardless of price point. "Whether it's a $200,000 condo or a $20 million property, I provide that same service so people will remember me and refer me to anyone looking for real estate assistance", he explains.

Today he works as a Senior Estates Director for The Estates Partners at Dilbeck Real Estate, a group he started in 2012 that includes 6 other agents. He primarily serves the entire Los Angeles metropolitan area, but has represented investors buying on the beach all over Southern California as well as shopping centers up in Northern California. He also serves as a consultant on real estate purchased across the nation.

Thomas' main goal is to give all clients the best service. "I aim to be honest and be their advocate", he explains. "I built my business on hard work, ethics and honesty. I think being genuine and looking out for the client's best interest is key."

Thomas also strives to make his clients comfortable; he doesn't want them to feel rushed or pressured. "My goal is to maintain relationships with clients for life, rather than just have one-time transactions, " he says. He wants his clients to leave the transaction with smiles on their faces, knowing that he went above and beyond their expectations.

Although Thomas' main focus is on real estate, he is also devoted to his community and is continually supporting various causes. He served as a camp counselor at the YMCA and has been a volunteer basketball coach at La Canada High School for the past 7 years. Thomas also runs to raise money for charity. Thomas and his colleague run together every day for 50-60 minutes, and frequently run marathons. Currently, he also serves as the Vice President of Marquette's Southern California Alumni Club. He was previously a Board Member for the Pasadena Foothill Association of REALTORS® Scholarship Committee for four years. Charities he is continually involved in with include The Cure!, The American Heart Association, City of Hope, March of Dimes and The Jimmy V Foundation.

It has become more and more clear to Thomas over the years that real estate is his true passion, and he is constantly grateful for his immense success. He worked hard to get to this point, and will continue to build his business for years to come. Seeing the happiness in his client's eyes when they get what they wanted, and reading testimonials praising him for his work, he finds the industry rewarding in many ways.
