Book Published as Test for Indie Author Marketing System

Aug. 31, 2015 - PRLog -- ApogeeINVENT, a digital marketing technology company, just published a new book as part of its test for their author marketing system scheduled to be open to select users later this year. The book, a dystopian romance novel, was written by ApogeeINVENT’s own Vice President of Communications, Lindsey Winsemius.

“We were so excited to work with Lindsey in publishing her debut novel as part of our pilot program for authors. Lindsey is a brilliant writer, and is now intimately aware of what every new authors needs in their marketing arsenal. We will now be even more capable of providing the right tools for our authors,” comments CEO Joseph Frazier.

Lindsey, who worked previously as the editor of a small publishing company, originally began writing the book as market research for the author marketing system. Lindsey decided the best way to truly understand what struggles an author faces and what they need in a marketing system is to become an author herself.

“I thought, why not? So November I started writing in any free time I could find, and by January, the first draft was done. That’s when I thought, beyond market research, this book might be something people want to read,” Lindsey explained.

The book, Reaper, was the result. Reaper is a dytopian love story that takes place in the future society of Alba nearly 100 years after a global war. The story follows an Alban Patrician suspected of treason, and her developing relationship with the man responsible for the state’s security, a Reaper. In their attempt to reveal the true traitor, the unlikely pair uncover a far greater threat to their entire civilization. As the story unfolds, the reader must decide if this is truly a dystopian or a utopian society compared to the rest of the world.
