JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Aug. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Orange Park, Florida - The Thrasher-Horne Center announced today three additional shows to their lineup in November and December: Boz Scaggs, The National Circus and Acrobats of the People's Republic of China: Peking Dreams and Mike Super: Magic and Illusion.

“I am excited to add these fantastic shows to the amazing lineup of performances we are presenting for the months of November and December,” said Executive Director Denton Yockey. “Our goal is to offer a wide variety of entertainment over the holiday months for our audiences to come experience with their family and friends. We want to become a holiday destination in Northeast Florida.”

Boz Scaggs, the Grammy Award-winning vocalist, platinum-selling legend, guitarist and songwriter takes the stage on Wednesday, November 4 at 7:30 PM. In 1976, Scaggs achieved multi-platinum success with Silk Degrees, which featured the hits “Lowdown," "Lido Shuffle,” and "What Can I Say." His popularity continues into the current decades with late-period high point albums like Some Change (1994) and Dig (2001). Boz Scaggs’ most recent album, A Fool to Care, which Q Magazine called “…some of the best music of his career. Every track is a jewel of unforced artistry in America’s R&B tradition,” was released in March 2015 and reached #1 on the Billboard blues album chart.

“I’m at a point where I’m having a lot of fun with music, more than ever,” Scaggs says about his spellbinding new album, A Fool to Care. “It’s like I’m just going wherever I want to go with it.”

The lineup continues the Saturday after Thanksgiving with The National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China. Direct from Beijing, this troupe will be performing their show Peking Dreams on Saturday, November 28 at 3:00 PM. The National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China was founded in 1953, making it one of the longest running and most distinguished circus troupes in China’s history.

The troupe is especially acclaimed because of the unique acts in their program such as Great Teeterboard, Grand Flying Trapeze, Group Contortion, Straw Hats Juggling and Girls’ Balance with Bowls. Many of the artists have won international awards for their performances.

Fun for the family continues in December with Mike Super, winner of NBC’s show Phenomenon and a finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. Super will bring his Magic and Illusion to the stage of Thrasher-Horne Center on Saturday, December 26 at 7:00 PM. In this family friendly performance, Mike Super creates a totally interactive magic experience where the audience won’t just watch the magic but become part of it. Super will dazzle with his mystifying talents, even attempting to "steal" a vehicle from Garber Automall’s dealership and make it appear on the stage with a snap of his fingers. If Super is able to accomplish this impossible feat, everyone in the Thrasher-Horne Center’s audience will have a chance to win the vehicle courtesy of Garber Automall in Green Cove Springs, FL.

“Garber Automall is proud to be sponsoring a superb family entertainer like Mike Super,” said Garber Automall general manager, Ron Harris. “We help people find their dream vehicles every day, but I challenge Mike Super to “steal” someone’s dream vehicle from our lot and make it appear on stage.”

Tickets for all three performances will be available to Thrasher-Horne Members starting Monday, July 20 at 10 AM. General public tickets will be on sale starting Monday, August 3 at 10 AM. Family friendly four-ticket packages and group tickets will be available for both Peking Dreams and Mike Super. Additional information is available at THcenter.org or (904) 276-6815. Thrasher-Horne Center is located at 283 College Drive in Orange Park and is owned and operated by St. Johns River State College.
