By: ISD Solutions In July 2013 ISD Solutions’ Firewall and Data Division was awarded a £1.1 million contract by lead contractor Vinci Construction to design, supply and install over 8500m2 of internal partitions and ceilings to form acoustic and fire rated walls and ceilings in the massive “Body in White” production facility. These firewalls are crucial to staff welfare and the production environment where a vehicle body’s sheet metal components are welded together before any moving parts are added. Both Kingspan KS1100CS composite panels and the Eurobond Firemaster panel system were utilised in the single storey facility which is constructed on a previous JLR site covering some 600,000 sq ft.
