ASI Offers UL 1449 3rd Edition Surge Protection Devices

(ASI) is pleased to announce a full complement of UL 1449 3^rd Edition Recognized DIN rail mounted Pluggable Surge Protection Devices (SPD) to protect against transient overvoltages, spikes and impulses in industrial applications. Additionally, product offering includes SPD’s specific to Solar & Wind Turbines industry needs. Each year an average home is impacted by up to 2,000 of these surges. In an industrial setting these types of surges cause equipment damage, lockup and malfunction which translates into expensive downtime, repair and replacement costs.

ASI provides an affordable line of DIN rail mounted SPD’s.  Designed with a base and pluggable MOV module, the MOV has a unique keying footprint which ensures that only the correct voltage MOV module connects to the base.  Available in 1, 2, 3 and 4 Pole, single, split and wye three phase.  Rated from 120 to 600/347 VAC. They are UL Type 4 recognized and can be use in Type 1, 2 & 3 applications.  A remote alarm contact with visual indicator allows for easy status monitoring and quick reaction in critical situations. Factory tested for SCCR rating of 200 kA, and are KEMA Certified to IEC 61643-11 2011, Class II.
