Elevate Life Church to Build Hope and Homes for Those Affected by Recent Tornados

FRISCO, Texas - July 22, 2015 - PRLog -- (FRISCO, TX) July 22, 2015 – Imagine losing your home and all possessions in the blink of an eye to a deadly tornado. Almost everyone in the state of Texas has felt the fear of approaching storms and tornados in the past few months, and a few families have been forced to deal with the real effects and devastation of the storms head on. Elevate Life Church (http://www.elevatelife.com) in Frisco has committed to partnering with CitiIMPACT Ministries (http://citiimpact.org) as they build homes for those affected by recent storms that were without insurance.

On Saturday, July 25, members of Elevate Life Church will be spending the weekend building from scratch three 1,200 square foot home frames for families in the Austin area – they will be calling this event Building Hope. These homes will be built on Elevate Life’s property in the parking lot. It will take hundreds of passionate servant leaders and only half a day to complete.

“We are so excited and honored to partner with CitiIMPACT as we build these three families’ homes. It’s more than building the frames of a home, it’s building back up a family that has devastatingly lost all possessions that they own, and giving them hope for the future,” says Pastor Mark Blum, pastor over missions and outreach at Elevate Life Church.

After the houses’ frames are built, CitiIMPACT will take the three homes to their permanent locations. The foundation will have been previously poured, and CitiIMPACT will take the next 30 days to put in plumbing, electrical, siding, roofing and everything that will make the house complete. That means within 30 days Elevate Life Church and CitiIMPACT will have provided three families with a fresh start, home and new hope.

Elevate Life plans to make it a family weekend event, as a small group of servant leader teams begin building the home on Friday, July 24, and then invite the entire congregation to continue the build through the day on Saturday, July 25. During Saturday and Sunday services that weekend congregants will be invited to pray over the homes while they are still in the parking lot. Later on Sunday the home frames will be placed on trucks and moved to their locations. The building process that includes the entire congregation will begin at 8 a.m. on July 25 at 8500 Teel Parkway, Frisco, Texas.
