FLEEPS to Launch First Line of Uniquely Designed Sandals in Fourteen Colors on Aug. 3, 2015
New footwear line gives back 10% of proceeds to provide education and opportunities for young girls around the world with each sale providing one day of schooling for one girl.
Designed to work with any outfit from jeans, to sundresses, to bikinis, FLEEPS provide a unique style that allows the wearer to either dress up or dress down their look. FLEEPS feature a ribbed cushion sole, an adjustable cross-ankle strap for stability, and a smooth finish toe thong. The inaugural “Inspiration Collection” is available in fourteen colors including Onyx, Gold, Sterling, Galaxy Blue, Aquamarine, Lime Green, Super Pink, Vivid Purple, Ruby Red, Crush Orange, Sunny Yellow, Snow, Charcoal, and Chocolate.
FLEEPS operates with the goal of changing the course of poverty through education and invites women to be collaborators in this effort through the purchase of its first line of sandals. FLEEPS is one of the only businesses creating a trend of connecting a for-profit fashion brand with a social improvement initiative to educate and empower girls worldwide.
The FLEEPS business model is part of an emerging economy that is drawing a full circle between people, planet and profit in a two-fold approach. First, FLEEPS are handcrafted in Costa Rica in a factory that employs women, giving them fair-wage jobs and health insurance providing a sustainable living to support these individuals and their families. FLEEPS is the brainchild of Kael Robinson, founder and CEO of two other major fashion brands including Brazilets and Live Worldly. A Denver-native, Robinson has enjoyed a career in fashion at top design houses such as Vera Wang and Talbots. Robinson’s passion for travel, girls’ education initiatives, and fashion inspired the creation of FLEEPS and the charity component that acts as the foundation of the brand.
