Finally!  A female driven Drama that is Faith based & occurs in WWII time period!  We see the many heartaches of the war, but the story's focus is on the WOMEN who are left behind to carry on while the war continues!  The viewer is taken on a journey with a closely knit family that experiences a roller coaster of emotions as they face tragedy, mental illness, & the ultimate victory! Laura is a young paralyzed woman who goes to her garden every day to pray and have time with the Lord. Her father spent his life dedicated to the mission fields, and one day Laura feels the Lord calling her to be a missionary also. However, set in WWII time period, she has many things against her: SHE IS A WOMAN IN A WHEELCHAIR...and that's just a start! With her father away at war, Laura must leave her mother, aunt, and psychologically ill twin sister home alone in Montana to pursue the education necessary to fulfill her calling.

This is an emotional and inspiring story of a family that must hold everything together...each carrying their own set of burdens. Many emotional, physical and personal trials surface in the relationships of family and friends. The only way to conquer each day is by holding on to their faith, believing in each other during times of darkness, and holding on to hope. Many seasons of a "slice of life" genre brings us this amazing and uplifting story of love and true giving to each other.

Laura meets her best friend and future husband along the way & many months go by when she loses her twin sister, Lindsey. She worries about her mother being left to care for Lindsey. She thinks about heading home but is fiercely committed to fulfilling her call to the Lord. This is a strong and heartwarming journey of a close family, during the WWII time period that faces insurmountable obstacles, tragedy, and loss! This story speaks to those with Special Needs and those who feel No Hope. It speaks loudly to those who suffer with mental illness and their families who care so deeply. We see the effects of war on the soldier as well as the family members. Ultimately we see the victory that can be held by remaining close in communication, loving each other, giving of ourselves one to the other, prayer, faith, hope, and never giving up!
