Thrift Store With A Purpose Opens in Savannah
Blessingdales, a thrift store with a purpose in Savannah, Georgia, opened their second thrift store to raise money for The Living Vine, a Christian Maternity Home.
Blessingdales southside, which is the fundraising arm for The Living Vine, has revealed new brands called “Wonderfully Made”, “Redeemed”
Blessingdales is helping to create new jobs, inspiring entrepreneurship, and cultivating a good work ethic for residents of The Living Vine Christian Maternity Home through their job internship program. The staff encourages each of their residents to set a new standard for living and thriving in their new worlds as moms.
Revenues from this store will help The Living Vine expand their operation with an aftercare program. Paula Kinard, the Director of Development at The Living Vine, said, “We believe that this new store is God’s provision so that our ministry can move forward to reach more women and children in desperate need of safe housing and hope for their future.” The other thrift store is located on Bona Bella Avenue in the Bacon Park Plaza.
