The fastest 3HE-PXI controller with a Haswell CPU

Equipped with the Intel i7-4700EQ 2.4 GHz quad core processor and up to 16GB DDR3L working memory with 1600 MHz, this extremely high performance controller is suitable for the most demanding of tasks in multitasking environments with several simultaneous and independent measurement or testing tasks.

The PXIe-3985 from Adlink is a top performance category embedded controller. Specially developed for use in hybrid PXIe-based test systems, this 3HE controller provides the performance for the most demanding applications. The i7-4700EQ processor with Haswell architecture used is uncompromisingly optimised for energy efficiency and performance and can be booted in single core mode with turbo boost up to 3.4 GHz. If the system is configured accordingly, data throughput of up to 8GB/s is possible.

As it should be for an upper grade controller, the PXIe-3985 neither holds back with interfaces nor with memory capacity. Two USB 3.0 ports, two gigabit Ethernet ports (one for LAN and the other for controlling LXI measurement instruments), two monitor connections and the integrated GBIP controller ensure the necessary flexibility in a wide variety of applications. Trigger i/Os for sophisticated PXI trigger functions and a programmable RS-232/422/485 interface round off the equipment. Acceed offers the controller either with pre-installed SATA HDD as of 500GB or with SSD as of 240GB.

The high availability required for reliable test systems is also achieved with the double BIOS backup. If the main BIOS has crashed, the system boots from the secondary BIOS and automatically restores the main BIOS. This can avoid costs and work for servicing. Moreover, the full metal housing elements protect electronic components and improve electromagnetic compatibility.
