TAYLOR, Mich. - June 19, 2015 - PRLog -- When you choose the right window, you can significantly enhance the overall look of your home from the inside and out.  Do you like your home to be cozy on chilly winter evenings and cool on a hot summer day?  Do you want your windows to open and close easily?  How about a window that is easy to maintain and clean? Do you want a window style that compliments the architecture of your home?  Do you want a window that has a different outside color than the inside?  Picking the right window style has a lot to do with it and Royal Tech Windows have all these options available with blinds and shades between the glass and more.

How do you decide whether you need a Double Hung or a Single Hung window?  First off, double hung and single hung windows are similar in the fact that these windows operate up and down in the window frame.  The single hung window has a fixed top sash, but the bottom sash is operable and tilts in for easy cleaning.

The double hung window has both upper and bottom sashes that can go up and down.  The double hung window also has both sashes tilt in for easy cleaning.  So, if you are putting windows on the upper story of your home, you may want to think about a double hung.  But, if the windows will be on the main floor, a single hung may be the way to go.

Another option you may want to take a look at is the slider window.  A slider window opens by sliding the window from side to side on a track in the window frame.  You would choose a sliding window if your wider windows.  Sliders come single sliders and double sliders.  In the single slider, one sash is operable and the other is fixed.  The operable sash can be removed to clean and maintain.  In the double slider, both sashes slide back and forth and both sashes can be removed for cleaning and maintenance.

More replacement window options for your home include the casement window, which opens with a crank mechanism swinging open to the outside.  The beauty of this window is that you get an unobstructed view.  Another type of casement window is the awning window, which cranks open from the bottom and swing upward, hence the term “awning.”  Also in the casement window family is the hopper window.  A hopper window is generally used in the basement and is hinged on the bottom and opens from the top and swings down/inward.

Depending on the application, you can choose the window that provides the important qualities that you want.  With the ability to choose blinds or shades in between the glass on all of these windows give you more control of your environment.  You can go to https://www.royaltechwindow.com to see these blinds and the different color options they come in.
