Remove the Clutter, Elevate Performance & Increase Your Bottom Line

Most experts agree that effective leadership, efficient operations and happy employees that clearly understand their objective are critical to performance and output in any organization and its all-important “bottom line”.

CHICAGO - June 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Finding a proven platform that effectively produces results in each of these areas might seem too good to be true, yet The Global Leadership Summit (TGLS) is yielding notable results in business leaders who attend the conference on a repeated basis.

Perhaps better known for its influence within the religious community, TGLS has been inspiring and equipping leaders for the past 20 years that come not only from the religious community, but every sector of society, including business. The two-day, world-class leadership event was experienced by more than 227,000 leaders around the world in 2014 and is telecast live from the Willow Creek campus near Chicago every August. Launched by Bill Hybels, founder and senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church, the Summit, an initiative of Willow Creek Association (WCA), has featured a diverse lineup of leadership experts over the years such as Colin Powell, Mark Burnett, Patrick Lencioni, and Carly Fiorina to name just a few.

While unapologetically focusing on leadership from a faith perspective, the subject is approached with the belief that leaders can learn from anyone and that everyone wins when leaders get better. WCA President and CEO Gary Schwammlein is himself a seasoned international corporate executive and now spearheads the effort.

“I first attended the Summit when I was in the corporate world and it changed the course of my life,” states Schwammlein.  “I continue to hear from senior executives from around the world that the Summit is one of the best experiences in leadership training that they have ever experienced.  It will make a difference in your leadership!”

As in any business, talk is cheap and results speak the loudest. In an effort to actually quantify the effectiveness of TGLS and provide another layer of accountability, WCA made a bold move following the 2014 edition of the Summit when they commissioned an independent study by Colorado Springs based Excellence in Giving, who also provided an impartial analysis of the data collected.

With a very reliable 3% margin of error and 99% confidence level, here are just a few facts that were discovered that are critical to any company’s bottom line.

·       98% of business leaders who attended more than once said that they had applied “team-building skills learned at TGLS” and 86% agreed that those skills “increased job satisfaction and productivity.”

·       81% agreed that the application of skills learned at TGLS “allowed my organization to increase the quality of our work.”

·       Almost 2 out of 3 repeat participants agreed that TGLS helped them to clarify their vision and priorities allowing them to be more effective with their time and resources.

The effect of the Summit on business leaders even extended into their communities with more than 1 out of every 4 reporting that as a result of the Summit, they gave “to impact their community”, on average, more than $10,000 over the past two years.

In 2014, leaders in 798 cities and 112 countries were equipped at the Summit, a 21% increase from the previous year. Based on projections for 2015, TGLS will be simulcast to 450 venues in the U.S., including at least 6 prisons, and beginning in October will be held in over 55 languages from 125 countries with an anticipated worldwide attendance of 260,000 people.
