CHESTER, N.J. - April 23, 2015 - PRLog -- The Morris County Arts Workshop (http://www.mcartsworkshop.com/) (MCAW (http://www.mcartsworkshop.com/)), the non-profit group dedicated to the nurturing and promotion of the arts in the area, will open its outdoor public gallery featuring “Sweet Dreams” by Jane of Chester in between The Hive and Sleepy’s in the Chester Springs (ShopRite) Mall in Chester on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 4 p.m. The celebration will continue at The Hive Gallery with a special opening reception for the Morris County Masters Art Show featuring three prominent area artists. Admission is free.

“We are so excited to be able to bring yet another wonderful piece of artwork to the Chester Springs Mall for shoppers and visitors to enjoy,” states MCAW founder and director Jane Shatz. “This would not have been possible without the generous support of Chester resident Deborah Herridge of The Herridge Group at Keller Williams Realty in Morristown, and Ramco-Gershenson, the property’s management company, who both believe strongly in promoting the arts. We thank them dearly! Deborah donated the beautiful frame to encase this wonderful piece of artwork and the professionals at Ramco-Gershenson have tirelessly helped us advance our mission of providing art and music for all to appreciate and enjoy in the community. With Ramco-Gershenson, we have formed a thriving business - non-profit partnership which we hope other business leaders will embrace to create neighborhoods enhanced by the arts. We appreciate and recognize Ramco-Gershenson as a leader in this field and encourage other businesses and non-profits to develop this model in their towns.”

The artists and works that will be exhibited in the Morris County Masters Art Show running through April 30, 2105 include oil paintings by John Reilly of Washington Township, NJ; encaustic and alternative photography by Sue Kenney of Boonton, NJ; and mixed media collages by Alice Harrison of Morristown, NJ. The artwork available for viewing and purchase will be on display at The Hive Gallery daily from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. or by appointment.

These are just a few of the series of art shows and musical performances the non-profit organization, which brings after-school art, music, language arts, and cultural programs to youth and seniors in Chester, Mendham, Mt. Olive and surrounding areas, continues to host at its storefront location. MCAW is currently offering a number of special classes and workshops at The Hive.
