Peer 1 Hosting Takes the Spotlight at Magento Imagine

April 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Vancouver, British Columbia – Peer 1 Hosting, the global web infrastructure and cloud hosting provider, will participate in three presentations at the annual eCommerce event Magento Imagine, taking place at the Wynn Las Vegas on April 20-22, 2015. Namely, Toby Owen, VP of Product at Peer 1, will share his expertise in helping e-retailers customize hosting solutions for their retail websites, in a keynote panel session about the use of cloud computing by e-retailers. The company will also host a pre-show event on April 19th to kick off the conference.

Owen’s keynote panel will involve executives from Rackspace and Nexcess on Wednesday, April 22nd from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.. The panel will discuss important considerations when e-retailers are moving to a cloud delivery model, including the pros and cons of three different cloud delivery models. The panellists will also address the pitfalls that e-retailers must avoid when transitioning to cloud computing in order to ensure they maximize the ROI of these investments.

Additionally, Frank DiRocco, Product Manager at Peer 1, will lead a breakout session, “To Be or Not to Be in the Cloud,” on Tuesday, April 21st from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. This session will examine the differences between physical and virtual Magento solutions, as well as the importance of selecting the right solution to ensure easy scalability and high performance for eCommerce sites at all times.

DiRocco will also join Chris Noell, VP Product Management at AlertLogic, in the breakout session, “PCI 3.0: Compliance Requirements, Best Practices and Pitfalls,” on Wednesday, April 22nd from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. During this session, Frank and Chris will explore why PCI 3.0 compliance matters for e-retailers, and explain the cost of implementing PCI, and the lines of responsibility between an organization and a cloud or hosting service provider when it comes to eCommerce security.

Peer 1 will host a Pre-Imagine Kick-Off Party with Listrak, Astound Commerce and Cynch on April 19th from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at La Cave in the Wynn Las Vegas. The networking mixer will feature drinks, appetizers and insightful conversations with many global eCommerce leaders.
