Chuck Greco of Houston-based Linbeck Group Named President of Largest U. S. Construction Association

HOUSTON - April 15, 2015 - PRLog -- In March, Linbeck (http://www.linbeck.com/) Chairman, Chuck Greco, was named president of the Associated General Contractors of America (http://www.agc.org/) (AGC). In this role, Greco will lead the association’s officers in a national effort to address growing workforce shortages, improve the productivity of the nation’s construction companies and help builders succeed in the ever-changing economic and political environment. Among the top issues the officers will address are the proliferation of new – and often ineffective – regulatory burdens, the need for new infrastructure investments and the continued adoption by the industry of new technology and new approaches to completing projects. The officers will serve in these positions until March 2016.

         “During the course of my career I have had countless opportunities to observe just what a positive impact this association has had on our business and our industry,” says Greco. “Our ultimate goal is to build a more successful industry for the future, and to be recognized as the talented professionals we are and for the meaningful contributions we make to the built environment every day.”

         Greco has been employed by Linbeck for 37 years, moving through the ranks to achieve the firm’s top leadership position. He served as Linbeck’s president for 10 years before becoming chairman in 2012. “Through my years with Linbeck, I have played many roles in the construction process from field engineer to superintendent, project manager, client executive and chief operating officer,” he says. “Today, as Chairman, I have the opportunity to apply lessons learned and best practices to issues that are critically important to me personally. I take an active role in promoting the benefits of collaboration, preserving the company's innovative and creative culture, ensuring workplace safety, supporting industry education and generating corporate growth and opportunity.”
