Skype for Business Room System, Crestron RL2, now available from VideoCentric

WOKINGHAM, U.K. - April 14, 2015 - PRLog -- VideoCentric (http://www.videocentric.co.uk/) announce the availability of the Crestron RL2 group collaboration system, the second generation of the Crestron Room system for Microsoft Lync that now supports organisations with Skype for Business upgrades.

Debuted at Integrated Systems Europe 2015 in Amsterdam, February, the Crestron RL2 delivers the most advanced unified communications and group collaboration solution for Microsoft Lync users in the conference room. Bringing together Crestron DigitalMedia and Microsoft Lync software into a single device, the Lync experience is brought from the desktop to the meeting room to provide video, voice, interactive content sharing, presence and chat, all from one touch screen interface.

The Crestron RL2 delivers:

A single solution for collaborating within the room and sharing with Lync meeting participants
DM input, for integration with remote video transmitters and the complete DM product line
Auto-switching between VGA, HDMI, and DM video sources
Analog microphone inputs for ease of custom installation
The power to control everything in the room, including lighting, shades, and other AV devices with one touch screen
The ability to integrate with Crestron Fusion® software, which is used to monitor, manage, and control all connected rooms across the enterprise

With four Crestron RL 2 configurations to choose from, there is one to meet the needs of every room type and size, and application. The Integrator Kit provides the codec and touch screen, allowing you to leverage currently installed equipment. Packages 1, 2, and 3 are complete, validated systems. Package 1 is ideal for huddle spaces. Package 2 is perfect for small to medium conference rooms. Package 3 is designed to suit the needs of large rooms

Skype for Business Support
Crestron RL 2, as well as legacy Crestron RL systems, will now support Skype for Business upgrades. Skype for Business brings together the familiar experience of Skype with the security, compliance, and control of Microsoft Lync. In combination with Skype for Business, Crestron RL 2 and Crestron RL will enable group collaboration between people anywhere, anytime.

Powerful Crestron RL2 Codec
The RL 2 codec boasts a number of exciting new features including a fully integrated Crestron DigitalMedia™ receiver, native Crestron Fusion® connectivity for room monitoring, multiple audio input configurations, and versatile mounting options. Crestron RL 2 also comes with Crestron’s award-winning TSW-style touch screen controller. Simply add the optional custom elements required for your application: display, camera, microphone, and speakers. You can even add a Crestron enterprise class 3-Series Control System® to open up a whole new world of possibilities.
