“First Mind Presents: Short Films” Series to Release Summer 2015

LOS ANGELES - April 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Maria D’Alessandro’s First Mind Management, LLC partners with Canon 4K Film Challenge Award-winning short film producer / actor, Marston Fobbs (www.marstonfobbs.com), to create original short films for online distribution with web series, FIRST MIND PRESENTS: SHORT FILMS, proposing launch for Summer 2015.

The concept was first pitched by comedic actor Kelly Perine to First Mind Mgmt who then collaborated with Fobbs to assemble a writers’ round table and brainstorm the slate of upcoming projects in 2014. Perine was later cast in the pilot episode, The End of the Date, playing “The Voice of God”.

“With the gaining popularity of viewing web content on mobile and digital devices as an alternative to television programming, First Mind aims to shine a light on stories not being told anywhere else”, states D’Alessandro. Rather than focusing on a singular storyline arc throughout a season, each episode will be its own stand-alone story, sketch or mock-commercial, whether it be comedic or dramatic in genre, thereby showcasing the talents of a diverse writing staff, cast & crew looking to gain exposure via this medium.

First Mind Mgmt brought in Fobbs (Comedy Central’s “Childrens Hospital”) to co-executive produce the series and serve as Showrunner with writers, LGBT activist Marquita Thomas and comedian Debi Fraser, cinematographers Milan Reed (www.milanreed.com) and Sean Nicholas Amey (www.snapsbysnap.com). The cast includes Kelly Perine (TV’s “One on One”), singer / actress Kiana Rene’ (TV’s “Breaking Point”), Edwin ‘EdVanzd’ Morrow (TV’s “Chicago Fire”), Greg Bryan (Showtime’s “Shameless”), Jo Mani (TV’s “The Resistance”), Tarnue Massaquoi (TV’s “NCIS: LA”), Natalie Lymor (TV’s “Criminal Minds”), Mikos Zavros (TV’s “Will to Live”), Laura Meadows (TV’s “Law & Order: LA”), Cherrelle E’Lan (TV’s “Criminal Minds”), Adam Charlton (TV’s “OMG! EMT!”), with newcomers Yvorn ‘Doc’ Aswad and Xavier Stafford.
