as Company Prepares for the 15th Anniversary of its Legendary 1073 Preamplifier
By: BAE Audio BAE Audio has been building the 1073 consecutively longer than any other company in history. As the company celebrates the forthcoming anniversary of one of the most sought after pieces of gear ever manufactured in the professional audio landscape, BAE Audio presents its entire line of 10 Series preamplifiers 'dressed in black' to mark the occasion. This stylish upgrade is now available through select dealers. BAE Audio President Mark Loughman commented: "When I originally founded the company, it was called UK Sound and our first product was the 1023 Preamplifier. At that time, to help set it apart aesthetically from other competing brands, we manufactured it only with a black faceplate," he recalls. "After we acquired Brent Averill Enterprises, the product's colour migrated to what is now known as the BAE blue. Now, with the anniversary of the 1073 upon us, we thought it was appropriate to highlight our accomplishment by going 'back to black.'" Prior to making the Blackface option available to dealers and customers, the Blackface version of 10 Series rackmounts & modules was only manufactured on a custom 'made to order' basis for high profile artists including Slash, who routinely records his Les Paul using a BAE Audio 1073 DMP single channel mic pre running directly into Pro Tools, and who also has a customized 1073MP and Blackface1073 rackmount units and several 500 series preamps. "The ongoing success of our 1073 Preamplifiers — and indeed the rest of the 10 Series line — is because all our products are assembled in painstaking detail using only original components like the Carnhill/St Ives transformer," For more information on the new 10 Series Blackface products, please visit http://www.baeaudio.com.
