The 18th Annual Tour of Kitchens Features Construction Resources

ATLANTA - March 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Construction Resources is excited to showcase products in four homes in this year’s 18^th Annual Tour of Kitchens. Presented by the Junior League of Atlanta, the tour takes place on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Each home on the tour features unique styles from different designers. Atlanta Kitchen, a Construction Resources Company, supplied kitchen countertops to four of the homes. The homeowners of a small 1944 bungalow turned their kitchen from a typical small bungalow kitchen into a spacious chef’s dream. Not only did that mean knocking down a few walls, but choosing the right materials was important to create a classic space with layered personality. White Marble from Atlanta Kitchen was chosen as the countertop to achieve this classic look and it paired beautifully with a painted brick backsplash for additional personality. This home is located at 2255 Fairhaven Circle in Atlanta, and can be viewed on the tour.

HammerSmith worked with the homeowners of a 50s style home on a whole-house renovation. The goal was to connect the beautifully landscaped backyard with the home’s kitchen. Everything has a place in this well organized kitchen including a built-in desk, pet station and a gorgeous island with Atlanta Kitchen’s Calacatta Marble. This home can be viewed on the tour at 960 Oakdale Road in Atlanta.

Homeowners at 3087 Peachtree Drive in Atlanta requested their kitchen to be “theatrical, functional and comfortable.” Mixing metals and wood created a dramatic and modern kitchen with functional storage including two walk-in pantries and glass wall cabinets for dishes. Atlanta Kitchen’s two-inch thick marble countertops and the deep grey tones of the cabinetry make the kitchen feel intimate and dramatic.

Another home that will be on the tour featuring Construction Resources countertops can be viewed at 5454 Heyward Square Place in Marietta. The homeowners wanted to make their small, hectic kitchen more open and spacious with a design that would blend authentically with their Craftsman/Tudor inspired home. Their kitchen now boasts two large islands featuring walnut cabinets that pair beautifully with the Vintage Delicatus countertops. Add a pop of red in the pendant lighting to feature the homeowner’s favorite color and this chef’s inspired kitchen is complete.

The Tour of Kitchens is a two-day event featuring 14 of Atlanta’s finest residential kitchens. This event has raised more than $1 million for the Junior League of Atlanta (https://www.jlatlanta.org/?nd=home). With a membership of 3,500, this organization’s mission is to support women, children and education by designing programs and events to engage the community. One week before the Tour of Kitchens, patrons are invited to attend a kick-off party, “Toast of the Tour.”
