Corporate communications being digitized
Rentokil Initial France chooses digital signage technology for its corporate communications in 29 sites
The digital communication system
Rentokil Initial France sends out regular information to its employees via 40 inch displays running on AOPEN Digital Engine DE7000 signage players that are connected on a wider network to abide by their code of conduct. The systems are located throughout 29 sites in break rooms. The content of the systems is partially managed by national headquarters and partially by the local officers in the factories for local freedom.
TMM Communication is a systems integrator in France that helps companies with their digital communications solutions. They help companies like Rentokil Initial France with finding the right solutions for their communication needs. In this case they chose AOPEN Digital Engine media players to create the network for internal communication among different locations, using an easy to manage solution.
Fabrice Desprats, Director of Marketing & Development at TMM Communication explains “We choose our hardware and software carefully to provide our customers with a stable and reliable solution. From marketing consultation all the way through to implementation and evaluation is something TMM is strong at, which gives our customers great advantages when they work with us because they get a solution that fits their needs.”
Choosing the right technology
The corporate communication solution that TMM introduced to Rentokil Initial France is deployed at national level and primarily intended for employees of that regional site. Part of it is standardized by headquarters, so that employees within the group get access to the same standardized information. It is mostly meant for those workers that do not have direct access to the company’s intranet. The digital installation, gives the company great flexibility to reach this wider group of people in an effective and easy way.
“The systems run 24/7 in confined spaces; therefore TMM chose to work with AOPEN hardware. The Digital Engine media players are tested in rough environments under different temperature conditions. Each and every Digital Engine has passed vibration tests which guarantee their reliability. This makes for a durable product with an extended product lifetime, they are not typically worn out quickly when they are being used 24/7. In addition, the functionality between the AOPEN players and the software works exquisitely, to limit failures and guarantee operability”
