Pirate Duel Release Date - Indie Browser MMO Strategy Game, Press Kit

Feb. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- My name is Daniel from Magic Box. I am one of the two Bulgarian developers who spent the last four years creating an online strategy indie game. I am writing to inform you about the release of "Pirate Duel".

It is a free, classic, browser MMO strategy game with unique hand drawn art style and crazy storyline. It takes you to an imaginary universe where pirates battle with an evil empire and with each other for supremacy. You are the governor of a small pirate town. Choosing one of the three available pirate clans (races), you will have to build up an economy, train your lads, use cleverly your captain skills to master the battle system and get to the top of the rankings.

The game was in beta for a couple of months so we could test and remove any known bugs and flaws in the gameplay. We are quite happy with the current state and we have appointed the release date of our first official season to be 21.02.2015. However, registration is open even now if you wish to try it earlier.

One of the things that we are very proud of is that our game is 100% free to play. There is no such thing as Pay2Win in Pirate Duel and never will be. The game has a supporter pack system, which we are currently expanding and that gives the players who want to help and donate, only cosmetic and handy game functionalities but not direct benefits.

Another thing that is worth mentioning is our game ideology. We believe that the players deserve awesome and clever games that are making them think. This is why we are constantly improving and adding new content to Pirate Duel, making it better every day.

An interesting fact is that our game was made with literally zero budget. It is self funded project and every aspect of it (design, programming, server support and marketing) is done by 2 developers - me and my fellow colleague.

In addition, we are providing you with an unique account in our test environment which has a special feature. On the town page, you can find a "Level up" button. It will transform your buildings, economy and fleet, giving you access to everything that is locked in the beginning of the game. It will even give you a handful of our special currency - the sapphires, which you can use to activate and test the supporter pack (our premium features).
