TUALATIN, OR…
A renowned London-based design studio chose Cascade Architectural’s Fabricoil™ architectural coiled wire fabric system as an “innovative design element” for the opulent new destination bar and lounge, TwoRuba, inside the Hilton Tower Bridge hotel.

The hotel’s name derives from its close proximity to one of the most iconic landmarks in London, Tower Bridge. TwoRuba opened in September 2014.

The design studio, AfroditiKrassa Ltd., used Cascade Architectural’s Fabricoil system to define flexible space that “transforms seamlessly” from casual coffee bar during the day to a sleek bar and lounge at night.

“We chose an innovative, eco-friendly and hardwearing bronze ‘metal mesh drapery’ to work alongside a central catwalk area that links all three levels of the bar from which the entire space is articulated,” says Afroditi Krassa, founder of AfroditiKrassa. “To emphasize this strong sense of direction, lighting pendants rhythmically dress the ceiling and guide customers through the space.”

Cascade Architectural’s Fabricoil™ systems are interlocked strands of coiled wire formed into flexible fabric and engineered attachments for interior and exterior architectural applications. Fabricoil coiled wire fabric is manufactured in a wide variety of metals, gauges, scales, finishes and colors.

In TwoRuba, the Fabricoil system consists of ¼” 18-gauge aluminum with a Satin Bronze finish affixed in place with Cascade Architectural’s Secura Track engineered attachment system.

AfroditiKrassa is a leading designer of interior spaces in the restaurant/bar and hospitality categories and says it aims to create a “true category definer” when taking on new projects.
