KINDAwesome Morning for Kids with Special Needs

Rock climbing event at Phoenix Rock Gym offers a unique opportunity for some special kids.

PHOENIX - Nov. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Phoenix, AZ  November 15, 2014 – The ASU Outdoors Club and KIND Snacks hosted a free family event at the Phoenix Rock Gym on Saturday.  The event was for the families of S.E.E.K. Arizona and S.E.E.K. Early Learning Center and everyone had the opportunity to climb.  From small children who had never climbed before to older kids with difficulties walking—each person was assisted by the gym staff or ASU volunteers and achieved a lot of success!

Events like this one are important for families because it gives them the opportunity to have a positive experience that they may not have the opportunity for elsewhere.  It can be difficult for families to go to crowded places where their child may get anxious, be reluctant to try something new, or be in an environment that could be over stimulating.

S.E.E.K. Arizona provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities, like autism.  Their Early Learning Center is a developmental preschool and childcare program that specializes in providing language enriched, behaviorally-based education for toddler and preschool aged learners in the Greater Phoenix area.  To learn more about S.E.E.K.
