Follow on Google News | Magic Returns To Broadway Theatre Of PitmanBy: Broadway Theatre of Pitman The new version of this lavish 2-hour production, which employs nearly 5 tons of props, costumes and scenery, is designed to entertain people of ages 3 to 93. Among the new features in this year’s show is the Gustafsons’ re-creation of “A Rhapsody In Silk,” an 11-minute routine that was performed by the legendary team of Ade & True Duval throughout Europe and the United States for 11 years following its introduction in 1928. The retired their sensational act 75 years ago, never to be seen again…until now! In this spectacular presentation, which is accompanied by the exciting music of George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein, the stage will be transformed into a breathtaking kaleidoscope of color as it is filled with massive quantities of brilliant silk scarves, streamers and ribbons as they apparently appear from a tiny container. In other segments, several members of the audience will come onstage to participate in novel, funny routines that will delight everyone. The show will feature Richard and Joanne Gustafson, who began their entertainment career by performing on the famed Ed Sullivan Show and who were inducted into the Magicians Hall of Fame in Hollywood, California. Richard is a former National President of the Society of American Magicians, the oldest and most respected of the world’s magical organizations. The Gustafsons have performed their magic and illusions in England, Canada, Monte Carol, Singapore, the Caribbean and 40 of the 50 Untied States. They have speared on stage and TV with many top, including Joan Rivers, Johnny Mathis and the legendary George Burns. Performance dated and times are: Dec. 26 & 29 at 2:00 & 7:00 P.M. and Dec. 27 & 28 at noon & 4:00 P.M. Tickets for this Family oriented entertainment are popularly prices at $12 and $15.
