Lawyer Registration Opens For New Website Where Lawyers Bid On Legal Work

Lawtendr will make it easier for both clients to find a lawyer and a lawyer to find clients.

TORONTO - Nov. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Lawtendr – a new website where lawyers bid on legal work – will be launching on November 18, 2014.  Beginning today, lawyers can visit https://lawtendr.com to sign up and create a profile.

Bonus offer for lawyers

Lawyers that create a profile before November 18, 2014 will receive a bonus equal to 5% of the legal fees they earn through Lawtendr between November 18, 2014 and February 28, 2015.  This bonus will be paid in March 2015.

Overview

Lawtendr makes it easy for clients to find a lawyer (and easy for a lawyer to find clients).  Prospective clients post their legal job and local lawyers submit bids.  Clients then choose a lawyer by comparing bids and lawyer ratings.

Lawtendr will be most useful for “first-time clients” and clients who are not satisfied with their current lawyer. Clients will be able to easily compare lawyers and get competitive pricing, saving them time and providing them with a better “user-experience” than traditional methods of finding a lawyer, such as through referral services or meeting with several lawyers. Lawyers will get access to new clients, reduced client acquisition costs and will not have to spend time on client billing and collecting.

The following are a few features that will make the bidding process a useful experience for both clients and lawyers:

* Lawyers can choose to be notified when a new job is posted near them in one of their areas of expertise.

* Clients can list questions or items that they would like lawyers to address in their bid.

* If a lawyer would like to separately bill for expenses or disbursements, they can notify clients that they will be doing so directly in a bid.

* If a lawyer needs additional information from a client, they can ask questions.  In order to ensure the bidding process is fair, these questions and answers will be available to all lawyers.

* After selecting a lawyer, a client has a ten day cooling off period.  This will provide clients with an opportunity to ensure they are satisfied with their lawyer and will give lawyers time to perform a conflicts check.  During this period, the client may cancel their selection and select another lawyer.

* Once a job is completed, the client rates the lawyer which provides useful information for future clients.

Pricing and Payments

It’s free for clients to post a job and for lawyers to bid.  Clients pay the full bid price when they select a bid.  Lawtendr deducts a 10% fee from the total bid price.  Legal fees earned by lawyers are paid in a monthly lump sum payment.

Availability

Lawtendr will initially be available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.

Founder

Lawtendr was founded by Jonathan Burshtein, a founding partner of Davidzon Burshtein LLP, and Blue Basil Studios Ltd., a Toronto-based web development company.
