ACROSS DUBAI, UAE - Nov. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- International and regional healthcare experts including Mark Adams, CEO and Founder of Anglo Arabian Healthcare will discuss and debate improving quality in the Healthcare sector and patient care in the GCC Healthcare Innovation Congress from 24-27 November 2014 in Abu Dhabi, organised by Maarefah Management and supported by the Executive Board of Health Ministers' Council for GCC States, Dubai Biotechnology & Research Park (DuBiotech), and will bring healthcare stake holders together including healthcare leaders from health authorities, providers from the government and private sector, public policy makers and investors.

Mark Adams, CEO and Founder of Anglo Arabian Healthcare, will discuss creating differentiation in healthcare provision in a competitive marketplace. "Due to benchmarking within the industry, there is an increase in patients' expectations of the quality of care they receive. As a clinical operator, it is our responsibility to measure and analyze patient satisfaction and experience with a goal to continuously improve. Patient feedback is an excellent indicator of the performance of our front of house staff, the cleanliness of the premises, and the communication skills of clinical and non-clinical staff. A patient will find it difficult to clinically judge a doctor or surgeon, however, capturing data on the soft issues are essential. In addition, it is important to measure clinical outcomes in order to benchmark and drive up clinical standards". Adams said.

"The outlook for healthcare in the GCC in the next 10 years is incredibly exciting. In the UAE, we are focused on the 2020 EXPO where a growth in population and infrastructure will push for a bigger demand of healthcare provision. The increased funding into the healthcare sector will drive market consolidation. I anticipate a continued growth of corporate brands, as well as insurance companies merging together. There will be more dedicated centres of excellence that are developed to cater specifically to clinical specialties - e.g. Paediatrics, Oncology, Urology. Technological innovations in medicine and new surgical techniques are moving healthcare into an era of reduced intervention, and faster recovery which will ultimately improve the quality of care offered to patients". Added Adams.

The list of the local, regional and international experts joining Mark Adams will include: Prof. Dr. Tawfik A. M. Khoja, Director General, Executive Board, Health Ministers' Council for Cooperation States, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Amer Sharif, Managing Director - Education Division, Dubai Healthcare City, UAE, Dr. Ashraf Ismail, Managing Director, Joint Commission International, UAE, Dr. Greg Raglow, Group Health Informatics Director of SEHA, UAE, Dr. Ali Asery, Executive Director Patient Experience, King Fahad Medical City, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdulqader Habiballah, Chief Information Officer, Prince Sultan Military Medical City, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Faiza Al Kindi, Senior Consultant of Cardio Thoracic Imaging, The Royal Hospital, Oman, Dr. Nick Goulden, Divisional Director for Infection, Cancer and Immunity and Laboratory Medicine Unit, Great Ormond Street Hospital, UK.
