The 2015 Elite Series season will kick off with the Redfish Classic as part of the 2015 Louisiana Crawfish Festival but the regular season will kick off just a couple weeks later as part of the largest Yacht and Boat show on the Gulf Coast. The 2015 Gulf Coast Yacht and Boat show will feature vendors, marine industry companies and in 2015, the pros of the Elite Series.

Anglers will fish, as is the norm, 1 angler per boat without team mate or draw partner and will be allowed the state legal limit of redfish, 3 fish 18″ – 30″ each per day for each of the 3 days of competition.

All anglers registered and competing in the event will fish days 1 and 2, April 9-10 with the top 5 moving on to the final day of competition on Saturday the 11th.

Each day the anglers will weigh in center stage as part of this large festival/show atmosphere and will be treated like the rock stars many of them have become known as in the professional redfish tournament would.

I.E. the first 20 anglers registering for the event will receive Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights stay at the Island View Casino and Resort Hotel provided by this great resort at no charge.

The anglers will be able to park/stow their rigs in marina slips or on land without expense as well as plenty of power for charging the batteries on these rigs at no charge for the duration of the event.

This event is always an exciting event and with thousands in attendance live and in 2015 the Elite Series pros will only add to that as well, this event, as well as all events in the 2015 tournament season will be televised to as many as 65 million homes in 2015 on Discovery Network’s channel, Destination America.

In 2015 The Redfish Series with Pat Malone will move it’s exciting full tournament shows to Saturday mornings. Stay tuned as more exciting news is announced on the 2015 tournament season but kicking off with the Louisiana Crawfish Festival then moving right into one of the most exciting boat shows on the Gulf Coast, 2015 will kick off with a bang and build in both quantity and quality of events from there.
