DUDLEY, U.K. - Oct. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Stress Management Consultant Cath Lloyd of Make The Change, is passionate about this having seen first hand the devastating effects on people close to her who didn’t deal well with life’s difficulties and suffered mental health problems as a result. Having come to understand her own stress levels and utilise techniques to manage these Cath just knew she had to take action to help others.

Cath says: ‘ I want to draw attention to this debilitating condition and let people know that they can move forward and make changes and improvements in their lives and their feelings. I’m particularly concerned about young people because I worry that if they can’t find their way out of their ’ dark place’ how will they be able to cope with the challenges of adulthood.’

Cath has planned three free webinars and interviews with those who have suffered stress between the 3rd and 7th November. These will help raise awareness of stress, share techniques for managing stress and give people tools to help them become happier and more fulfilled in life. Cath’s calling this the ‘I Just Want To Be Happy Event’

Cath emphasises that these sessions are not just for sufferers, but also for those who care for people with stress and for the friends and family around them.

In addition, as part of the event Cath is hoping to raise a phenomenal £3,000 for Young Minds- a charity which supports children, teenagers, parents and professionals who are dealing with the mental health and wellbeing of young people. Proceeds from a photographic competition on the theme of ‘What Represents Happiness To You’ and calendars created from those photos will help raise the funds.

Short Bio of Cath Lloyd:

Cath Lloyd 49 from Pensnett has like most people experienced  stress.

She says: ‘I never thought I would suffer from this condition myself but I did. It took me a long while to realise how unhappy I was and I felt silly because there didn’t appear to be any particular reason why I felt this way. I have a great family, great kids, a great relationship with my husband, a good childhood and hugely supportive parents. However, when it did hit me that there was a problem I was lucky enough to have the support I needed and find my way out of the darkness, so to speak. On investigation, it soon became apparent that my sister’s battle with Anorexia Neurosis had a larger impact on me than I thought and issues that my parents were facing were also causing stress.’

Cath became a coach after 20 years of teaching and has found it a natural progression as she was already talking to people about their families and relationships and helping with personal development.

She now shares with others the tools and techniques she has learned along the way to help people cope with the situations that cause them stress be they in their working or personal lives. In particular Cath shows people how to improve what isn’t going well and how to take care of their own needs and goals. Cath does this through one to one coaching, on line training and small group training.
