Inductees into the 2014 Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame Announced

ATLANTA - Oct. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- The Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame inductees of the Class of 2014 have been announced. The four inductees will be honored at an awards luncheon held November 4, 2014 at the 18^th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference at the Westin Kierland in Scottsdale, AZ.

The 2014 inductees include:

·         Innovative Individual: Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson, Executive Director of Digital Health and author of the Seattle Mama Doc Blog for Seattle Children’s Hospital

·         Innovative Products or Service: KidsHealth, the most-visited site on the Web for information about children's health issues from before birth through the teen years

·         Innovative Provider Organization: University of Utah Health Care, the Intermountain West’s only academic health care system, providing leading-edge and compassionate medicine for the people of Utah and a referral area encompassing five states and more than 10 percent of the continental United States

·         Innovative Provider Organization: Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the nation's first hospital devoted exclusively to caring for children.

The Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame honors individuals and organizations that have made outstanding, long-lasting contributions to the healthcare Internet industry. The organization’s purpose, while honoring innovation, is to ensure that the “history” of the industry is preserved for future generations new to the healthcare industry.
