Lithuanian instant noodles won the SIAL Innovation Award

KAUNAS, Lithuania - Oct. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- This is the first time in the company’s history when it gets such an award. Instant noodle line City Taste was nominated because this product conveys the flavor associations with cities all around the world.

Super premium quality instant noodles City Taste is produced by company KG Group in its instant noodle factory, which is located in Kedainiai and running since 2011. This is the only instant noodle factory in the Baltic States. Instant noodle line City Taste is designed to convey the flavor association with the city. This line is made from the highest quality ingredients and reflects the most famous cities all the world, traditional tastes of those cities. The main task for this product was to return the memories of a city where a person who eats City Taste instant noodles was and spend his time. This uniqueness, high product quality and the rising popularity of instant noodles around the world allowed winning SIAL Innovation Selection 2014 prize.

Currently there is 9 flavors of City Taste instant noodle line: beef steak from Buenos Aires, black caviar from Moscow, cannabis from Amsterdam, kebab from Istanbul, crispy chicken from New York, tzatziki from Athens, wasabi from Tokyo and the pizza with salami from Rome. The product is produced only in cups.

"Instant noodle business currently is one of the fastest-growing in KG Group's business portfolio. The business contributed revenues of the 1st half of the year increased by 77 percent and the export increased by 95 percent compared to the last year's first half. The main reason of Lithuanian instant noodle growth is because of own brands export and contracts with major international customers. Currently, our instant noodles named “Sun Yan” are sold in 8 countries, brand “Justinn” developed in 6 countries, our brands can be seen in Scandinavia, Western and Central European countries in large supermarkets. More and more customers from different countries discover instant noodles made in Lithuania with our own brands. We are planning sales and the development of these products even to the Asian markets,"- said Chairman of the Board of “KG Group” Mr. Tautvydas Barstys. He also hopes that this SIAL award will help to find a way into international markets with own trademarks much easier.

Group of Companies “KG Group” this year in fiftieth SIAL 2014 exhibition presents not only various brands of instant noodles such as “Justinn”, “Sun Yan”, “City Taste” and “Dorea Nature”, but also flour “Flourina”, specialized flours and flour mixes and breadcrumbs "Flourina”. This year quickly prepared oatmeal “Activus” also will be presented in the exhibition. This new product has great potential and it is expected that it will receive attention of potential foreign distributors during the exhibition.

This year company has two SIAL exhibition stands. In the second stand chicken products will be presented. Visitors will see poultry steaks, burgers, schnitzels, marinated chicken products named "Pasaulio virtuves" and "Premium". Moreover, in this stand will be presented different flavors of sausages, hams and fresh-chilled deeper processing products (chicken shoulders, tulips, fillet cores, etc.) which can be present only in a few hours in any European country (for example, in Finland, fresh chicken is delivered within 16 hours, while in France or Spain in 48 hours).

It is expected that his year SIAL 2014 exhibition, which will take place in Paris, will be participated by 6300 participants from 200 countries, who will present about 1700 new innovative products. It is expected that during five days of the exhibition it will be visited by 150 000 visitors.
