SpaceUnited Receives Tax Deductible Public Charity Status From United States Government

ARVADA, Colo. - Oct. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Arvada, CO - SpaceUnited, a Colorado-based humanitarian space agency, has recently been awarded the status of a tax deductible public charity by the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Accountant Mandy Sharpe said “It was a great pleasure to take our experience with assisting small businesses in Colorado and apply it to a non-profit organization that we are confident will make a huge difference, both within their industry as well as our community. ClearPath Accountants remains dedicated to providing our clients with information to a “clear path” of improved business processes, cash flow and profitability.”

In addition to accepting tax deductible donations from the general public and corporate sponsors, this new designation will also allow SpaceUnited to apply for numerous programs and grants that require this status.

Troy Dunn, SpaceUnited’s executive director, said “We're really excited about what this means for our organization. This will open up all kinds of opportunities to advance our mission of improving lives through space exploration" upon learning about the decision.

SpaceUnited accomplishes its work through several humanitarian space missions, which utilize satellite imagery, sustainable housing, and other space technologies.
