Follow on Google News | Veteran Triathlon Rider Half Way to Goal!Anh Brown is riding his Triathlon bike From Florida to Vermont in Support of the Wounded Warrior Project
By: Wounded Warrior Project Anh Brown currently lives outside of Tampa, FL. He is an immigrant from Vietnam. Anh was brought to America when he was just 4 yrs old. Upon graduating from high school, he was accepted to Norwich University, military college of Vermont. At Norwich, Anh was able to get the best of both worlds; an education at a military college, and a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army upon graduation. In 2003, his US Army company was sent to war in Iraq. After 8 months of deployment, they finished up and came home. In 2004, he was sent with a detachment to support Operation Iraqi Freedom. Anh finished up his time in the military as an Army Captain. He was proud of his time of service, and is now as a civilian, he wanted to do something to honor my fellow veterans. So he decided on riding his triathlon bike to his 15th year Norwich University Reunion to support those who were wounded overseas. Michael W. Mandarino a graduate of the United States Military Academy just joined Anh at Chapel Hill to help him finish the rest of the trip. During the 1st Week, Anthony Dixon was Anh's trusted trail vehicle driver and will be missed as he departed back to Tampa today. End
