New Dean at Union Institute & University to be introduced to South Florida Business Community

MIAMI - Sept. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Union Institute & University Florida Academic Center in North Miami Beach recently appointed Dr. David George as the new Regional Dean for the North Miami Beach campus as of July 2014. Dr. George comes to South Florida from Wisconsin and will be formally introduced to the business community during a ’Meet the Dean’ reception at the North Miami Beach campus at 6pm on September 10^th at 16853 NE 2^nd Ave, North Miami Beach.

“As a newcomer to the South Florida community, I look forward to connecting with and forging relationships with local business and community leaders,” shares Dr. George. “I understand South Florida to be a welcoming business community, which is important for our campus as we grow and expand our local footprint and increase the opportunities that our students and graduates have access to.”

Dr. George will provide strategic leadership for the university’s Florida Academic Center with an emphasis on expanding academic programs and increasing enrollment and supporting student recruitment. He will also provide leadership for budget development and management, student support services, compliance, and delivery of quality instruction and related services.

Prior to this new role, Dr. George served as the Academic Dean for Herzing University in Brookfield, WI for the past four years and was also the Dean for Keller Graduate School of Management and DeVry University in the Milwaukee metro area from 2006 through 2010. Prior to roles within higher education, Dr. George was an elementary school principal for 18 years. Dr. George is no stranger to the South Florida community. He earned both his Master and Doctoral degrees in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University.
