ATLANTA - Sept. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Georgia Prep Sports Academy is seeking volunteers for our “Life Skills” campaign. Anyone wanting to make a difference in the lives of young people to prepare them for the next level, from high school to college and beyond, we encourage you to join our campaign.

Our volunteer campaign committee interest meetings are held monthly. Our next volunteer campaign committee meeting is Monday, September 15, 2014, at 444 Highland Ave, NE, Suite 200, Atlanta, GA 30312. The meeting will begin by identifying monthly volunteering opportunities and based on availability, we will arrange for volunteers and students to participate in these events. At Georgia Prep,we bridge the gap between academics and athletics; in addition, we provide students with the skills they will need to be successful in life and business.

Georgia Prep's Diversity Initiative is built on relationships with corporate leaders to create GeorgiaPrep's Life Skills Campaign. This program provides opportunities for our students to volunteer at various events to learn skills in human resource management, accounting, finance, labor projections,

logistics and coordination, inventory, security, etc. These experiences assist in the development of the student to help with their real world transition after college and after collegiate or professional sports careers.

“Our Diversity Initiative Life Skills training campaign component of our program is one of the unique aspects of our program in addition to Georgia Prep being the only prep school of its kind in the Southeast United States,” says Michael Carson, Founder/Head Coach. “Volunteers and our corporate partners help us to battle the stigma student athletes face and prepares them for success in their careers or business”.

If you would like to join our team either as a corporate partner or as a volunteer team member, please call our coordinator at 202-630-8481, email icampbell@gpsalions.com and visit www.GeorgiaPrepSportsAcademy.org.

Georgia Prep Sports Academy mission is to assist students in becoming knowledgeable, thinking and responsible citizens of their community, nation and world. Our educational program is based on rigorous instruction in basic skills and in preparation for further study in arts and sciences. To be effective, the educational process must be reinforced by order, structure and discipline, and in an environment where the worth, potential and integrity of the individual is promoted in every area of school life. We strive to develop our students spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically, as well as intellectually, within a healthy, wholesome environment in which faith and principles pervade all aspects of the school.
