Indian Railways shake hands with Czech for semi developing high speed Train

By having an goal to obtain skills in running semi high-speed Trains and modernizing signalling system of Indian Railways, India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Czech Republic.

Aug. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- By having an goal to obtain knowledge of running semi high-speed Trains and modernizing signalling system of Indian Railways, India yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Czech Republic.

The MoU was signed between Indian Railways and Czech Railway for technical cooperation within the area of railway sector, stated a senior Railway Ministry official.

Indian Railways, that has intends to run semi high-speed Train, will take advantage of the technical expertise of Czech around the project.

Presently, Railways is on the project to improve Train speed to 160 km each hour between Delhi and Agra. When the Delhi-Agra project is effective, it intends to explore options of growing the rate to 200 km each hour.

The possibility cooperation areas backward and forward nations also cover automation of freight procedures, station development and workshop modernization.

The MoU applies for 3 years and could be extended for successive periods at twelve months a period.
