Creative Works' Cosmic Golf Course - The Lost Temples - Comes to Blue Harbor Resort

Aug. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- A frightening anaconda, ancient Egyptian dog, and a wandering mummy are just some of the amazing sights to see at Blue Harbor Resort and Spa, a popular resort on Wisconsin's Lake Michigan coast.  The Lost Temples is the first indoor miniature black light golf course for Sheboygan County.  Throughout this project, Creative Works (http://www.thewoweffect.com) worked with both Adventure Golf Services and the Blue Harbor Resort team to create 3D props and mural work as well as provide ideas for design and attraction concepts.

The Lost Temples provides thrilling and spectacular fun with two nine-hole courses, The Mayan Temple and The Egyptian Pyramid.  The new attraction was added by Blue Harbor Resort to provide more entertainment for guests and groups.  Adventure Golf Services approached Creative Works with their goal to give customers an amazing black light cosmic golf experience at the Harbor Blue Resort.  "The Creative Works team did an outstanding job in transforming the space," said Steve Grossenbach of Adventure Golf Services.  Creative Works fabricated all of the pieces and props for this project in their 33,000 square-foot Theme Factory in Indiana before shipping the goods to the resort’s location in Wisconsin.

Along with providing all the custom props for the course, a professional Creative Works artist was flown to Wisconsin to provide black light mural work for the 42,000 square foot course.  Beautiful renderings line the walls of the course including tranquil waterfalls, stone ruins, and camels wandering the pyramids.

Matthew Hirons, Creative Works' professional artist, provided some insight on how he tackles projects with a large square footage.  "When I start a large scale mural, such as the one at Blue Harbor Resort, I will block out the theme and the background first and then add on top from there.  It is important to do this so I can evenly distribute the attention points throughout the course," commented Hirons.  Creative Works artists travel all over the world and invent and implement fresh designs for each project.

Blue Harbor features 244 suites and villas, more than 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a 54,000 square-foot indoor waterpark entertainment area, a full service spa, three restaurants, and recreation amenities including watersports and access to a golf course.
