Noted Artist Johnny Karwan Rejoins Porterfield's Fine Art Licensing; New Collections Available

  Johnny Karwan is a fine art painting graduate with honors from the acclaimed San Francisco Art Institute, and has taught technique in background scenic paintings worldwide, including Filmographics in Mexico City, Hanna Barbera in Sydney, Australia, Take 5 in Seoul, Korea, and Filman-Gaumont Productions in Madrid, Spain, as well as having worked on numerous productions for movies and television.

  After a decade in the film industry, the artist devoted his artistic efforts to working  with international architects, interior designers and public art commissions, creating monumental artworks in the form of murals and sculpture for residential and commercial clients. Clients included the Singapore Development Bank, Grand Hyatt Hotels, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Westin Plaza Hotels, Pacific Union Realty in Opera Plaza, San Francisco, San Francisco's historic Mission Dolores, and the San Diego Port Authority.

 The artist has exhibited his work at the San Diego Museum of Art, Long Beach Museum, Downey Museum and the Laguna Gloria Museum in Austin, Texas.

 More recently, Johnny Karwan has enjoyed success designing textiles for apparel manufacturers and major apparel chains such as Nordstrom, Tommy Hilfiger, Baby Dior, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, Marshall Fields, Target, Macy's, and many others.  His work has been licensed extensively at home and abroad on a wide variety of products.
