Eli Goldratt's infamous P&Q Example comes to the iPhone
Author, mentor and Jonah, Jeff 'SKI' Kinsey releases first iPhone app designed to share the infamous P&Q Example. This interactive iPhone app is a simulator designed to capture the assumptions and allow the user to solve the challenge.
When Jeff 'SKI' Kinsey wrote the business leadership guide, Purple Curve Effect, Goldratt granted permission to include his now infamous P&Q Example in the book. Both authors used this example hundreds of times to explain the concept of business constraints to otherwise intelligent business managers.
Just as a physical chain has "one weakest link" so too an organization. This PnQ Sim will document the law in a simple yet effective manner. This simulation is based on the P&Q Example from SKI's book, and the complete text from Chapter 26 explaining the challenge is included in the app as "instructions"
This simulator will allow the user to test different levels of "P" and "Q" quickly so that one may understand the effects of constraints on business entities. Think you understand profits? Test your skills today.
Compatible devices: iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
Jeff 'SKI' Kinsey first read "The Goal" in 1992 and met Eli Goldratt in person in November 2000 when the book, "Necessary But Not Sufficient" was released. SKI went on to create the international business magazine TOCreview. As a Jonah's Jonah, SKI has been teaching The Logical Thinking Process based on H. William Dettmer's 3rd Generation model and certifying Jonahs in Ohio.
PnQ sim is now available in the Apple iTunes Store:
