Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Festival Ends the Summer on a Good Note in Long Branch
Long Branch Jazz and Blues Festival Brings Live Music, Food, Fireworks and Fun for All Ages on Saturday, August 23, 2014, 12:00 – 10:00 p.m., The Great Lawn, 28 McKinley Ave., Long Branch, NJ
The Long Branch Jazz and Blues Festival headliner is The Fins. The eight piece blues band has brought together several particularly rich musical styles to form one powerful, hard driving sound. During their tenure they have been the vanguard of rhythm and blues. The Fins are credited with bringing big band blues to the east coast; and their blend of rhythm and blues, jump, swing, jazz and urban Chicago sound has been exciting audiences wherever they perform. “Our Foundation's award-winning festivals have been entertaining jazz and blues lovers on the Jersey Shore for more than 20 years," said Dennis Eschbach, Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Festival Series Organizer. "We attract a great crowd of thousands. Alex and Ani and our other sponsors have stepped up in big ways in 2014 to keep the music alive and support our young blues and jazz musicians. Make sure to catch our first act and you'll be amazed at the incredible talent of our teen performers. They'll get you up and dancing, ready for more!”
Each year, sponsor donations from the Summer Series of Festivals raise essential funds for the nonprofit Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation’s operational expenses. Sponsors include Alex and Ani, Comcast, Investors Bank, JCP&L, Peapod, Hunterdon Distributors and Lagunitas Brewing Company.
