TDI Wins the Challenger Cup at Google Partner World Cup 2014

Google India held a six-a-side Football Tournament among its AdWords Premier SME Partners on July 4, 2014 at Plaza Farms, Chattarpur. Of the 4 Cups that were given away at the tournament, TDI International (P) Limited emerged the winners of the Challengers Cup, defeating Team Gunners of Trade XL, 3-1. Team TDI, emphatically named “Extreme Warriors”, had a slow start in the league matches, but rose to the occasion during the Challenger Cup finals to win the cup. The team comprised of TDI’s Global Head Mr. Sanjay Sharma, followed by Praveen Pandey, Arun Bhalla, Rishi Raj (Goal Keeper), Rahul Nair, Bhaskar Dihingia (Captain), Akram Abbasi, Krishna Baghel, Puneet Soi, and Shahid Hassan. The team was helped by goals from Rahul, Krishna, and Bhaskar on its way to the cup. Rahul Nair was selected as the “Most Valuable Player” for his excellent contribution of 3 goals.

The tournament was a sportive occasion for Google’s partners in India to meet. It was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, dinner, live screening of FIFA world cup quarter finals, and DJ Party.
