WOODLAND, Calif. - July 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Legislative Intent Service, Inc. has just posted a new self-study MCLE exam to its website that offers a glimpse into the process of making a new law. The free exam, which is available 24/7, covers the history leading up to the 1968 California Public Records Act, as well as the 1968 legislation itself.

This newly-approved MCLE exam has been approved for one hour of MCLE credit by the State Bar of California. Legislative Intent Service, Inc. grades the exam, then sends back the participant's certificate within one week's time, allowing clients to receive their credit in a timely manner.

By offering an exam that discusses the 1968 California Public Records Act, Legislative Intent Service, Inc. hopes to show attorneys the value of available, legislative history materials, which they can use for their research into legislative intent.

The clients who have taken the exam have welcomed the opportunity to learn about the important 1968 Act. Clients have also appreciated that the exams Legislative Intent Service, Inc. offers are free, State Bar approved, and interesting. Considering that the deadline for meeting the mandatory MCLE requirements is February 1, many likely appreciate receiving their certificates in a timely fashion, as well.

It's important to note that there's currently no other exam like this available, since no organizations other than Legislative Intent Service, Inc. have offered a free, State Bar approved, MCLE course on the 1968 California Public Records Act.

Maria A. Sanders, COO of Legislative Intent Service, Inc. and author of the exam, says that, “Offering an educational opportunity to learn about California history as well as the value of public records is meaningful ... because for 40 years we have been in the business of providing complete legislative history and intent research, and we have helped thousands of clients win their cases with these legislative materials.”
