WASHINGTON - June 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Crowdfunding is a new technique that allows you to raise money online for people, projects and products. Join us as we discuss what crowdfunding is, who uses it and how one may be able to crowdfund small businesses. We will describe and discuss specific crowdfunding campaigns.

William Michael Cunningham, Henry Burger, and Howard Williams will describe the current environment for crowdfunding.

We will have selected current and potential crowdfunders discuss their projects:

Javier Starks will describe the 1,000,000 Strong Campaign. "Children are heavily influenced by negative rappers DAILY. By providing a POSITIVE alternative, we REVERSE the effects. Breaking the cycle, saving the future!" See:

We will discuss “Blues for Balkans," a cultural, artistic, and fundraising organization formed in reaction to the catastrophic floods that devastated the Balkan region just over a month ago. Through creating a series of benefit concerts in Serbia, Bosnia, and Croatia, and subsequently in New Orleans, we are doing our small part to address one of the worst environmental disasters in the past 120 years, and to do it by spreading the blues.

Kugler Cycle will describe their efforts to utilize crowdfunding to "rekindle dreams and aspirations, to lead in the resurgence of manufacturing in the District of Columbia, to inspire creation, well-being and high-performance through the elegant medium of the classic bicycle."

Music provided by Javier Starks.
