Use of New Material Brings Added Capability to Composite Bridge Plugs

CALGARY, Alberta - June 23, 2014 - PRLog -- 23-June-2014 – CALGARY, AB. – Evolution Oil Tools Inc. has announced that the Composite Bridge Plug product line ( http://www.eotools.com/index.php/component/virtuemart/127/3/completion-tools/wct-composite-bridge-plug-detail ) is now rated for high pressures for the 4 ½, 5 and 5 ½ inch sizes.  The new pressure rating for the plugs will increase to 15,000 PSI (103.42 MPa) from 12,000 PSI (82.74) when operating up to 350° F (177° C). The 7 inch model will remain with a 12,000 PSI rating.

The product is now produced with an innovative new composite material, allowing for the higher pressure rating.  The Composite Bridge Plug is used for many applications on land-based or offshore rigs, in vertical or horizontal wells and functions as a bridge plug in multi-zone stimulation or fracking treatments. The tool can be milled out with conventional bits.

The new composite material continues to allow for fast drill times, with reduced formation damage during drill-outs.
