LONDON - June 18, 2014 - PRLog -- This website is aimed at anyone with an interest in autism. This includes people on the autism spectrum, parents and carers, service providers and policy makers.

Research Autism is the only UK charity dedicated to research into autism treatments and therapies. We carry out our own high quality, independent research. We also publish information about research carried out by other organisations. We aim to improve the quality of life and outlook for people on the autism spectrum and those around them.

This website provides up-to-date, scientifically reliable information about autism. It provides information about some of the issues, problems and challenges facing individuals on the autism spectrum. It also provides information about a wide range of treatments, therapies and services used to help them.

Interventions.

An intervention is any kind of activity (such as a treatment, a therapy or the provision of a service) that is designed to improve the quality of life for people on the autism spectrum

There are many different types of intervention and the names and numbers of interventions are increasing all the time.

Some interventions are designed to address the core symptoms of autism (persistent difficulties with social communication and social interaction and restricted, repetitive patterns of behaviour, interests, or activities).

For more information on our research projects of for general information on Autism and Interventions please visit our new website. http://researchautism.net
