Anna Watkins MBE becomes face of Think.Create.Do

LONDON - June 16, 2014 - PRLog -- "There are so many fantastic women in Britain who help to motivate and inspire others by breaking conventions, making us think in different ways and not being bound by the norms of society – it is important that they gain the recognition they deserve.” says Anna.

“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to find my own unique path, gaining a degree from Cambridge, studying for a PhD and achieving one of team GB’s first women’s rowing gold medals - but now I’m also a mother, a writer and businesswoman as well.”

Todayimme.com approached Anna and asked her to become Ambassador for their Think.Create.Do. campaign.

“What a wonderful idea, I jumped at it” says Anna. “The campaign aims to recognise Britains’ most inspiring and brilliant women from all walks of life and not just business”.

“I’m writing to the Prime Minister asking for his support and I’m writing to many of the UK’s leading females in the arts, business, media and sports to raise awareness of the contribution women make to our society. The unsung heroines that make us great”.

As part of the campaign, members of the public are invited - via Facebook - to nominate and vote for their favourite women. Each month, individuals are recognised and on Tuesday December 9th, the overall winner for 2014 will be announced.

Submissions from the public are officially invited from June 21st onwards - but the nomination system is live now.
