Dress for Success San Francisco 9th Annual Fashion Gala June 19th Features Special Guest Jeannie Mai

SAN FRANCISCO - June 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Fashionistas and philanthropists alike will not want to miss the upcoming Dress for Success San Francisco Annual Fashion Gala, Success: You Wear It Well, on Thursday, June 19 at the historic Julia Morgan Ballroom. Style Expert and Co-Host of upcoming nationally syndicated daytime talk show ‘The Real,” Jeannie Mai, will be on hand to discuss her support of the organization and provide style insights. The event includes a fashion show by Banana Republic, VIP cocktail reception, silent auction, live auction and seated dinner. Silent auction features exclusive items such as a gift certificate with priority reservations for State Bird Provisions and a signed Giants baseball.  Guests also will be treated to delectable cuisine from talented local chefs, unique cocktails and fine wine from local vineyards. Vicki Liviakis, TV anchor and reporter for KRON 4 will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.

Success: You Wear it Well is the annual theme of the gala, but the purpose of the evening extends beyond fashion: It’s about providing thousands of local women with the resources and support they need to advance in the workplace.

“Our goal is to transform women’s lives by providing them with the tools and resources they need to be self-sufficient, ranging from interview attire to career resources and financial literacy training,” said Renée Surcouf, Executive Director of Dress for Success San Francisco.  “We are proud to have served over 6,000 women throughout the Bay Area to date. Our annual event is a celebration of our women, our community and our future.”

Event attendees will be inspired by the stories of triumph of those served by Dress for Success San Francisco and hear how the organization helped them secure employment and has empowered them to achieve social and economic success. They also will be able to meet with Style Expert, Jeannie Mai who has been a supporter of Dress for Success since 1997. As an ambassador for the organization, Jeannie Mai has made it her mission to inspire, educate, and empower women.
