VOCs & Indoor Air Quality Discussed in New Video
The IAQ Video Network releases another educational video about important environmental, health & safety (EHS) issues.
VOCs include a wide variety of chemicals used in many products and materials. They can be emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids and many are known to have potential adverse health effects for people exposed to these compounds in the air they breathe.
“Concentrations of VOCs are frequently higher indoors than outdoors since they are emitted by so many products used in our homes, schools and places of business,”said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network. “As with other pollutants, the extent and nature of the health effects people may experience depend on many factors including level of exposure and length of time exposed. We hope this video helps to shed some light on VOCs, IAQ and potential health concerns.”
This educational video was sponsored by a number of organizations and leading industry professionals that help to protect the public’s health. Sponsors include: EMSL Analytical, LA Testing, Mold Solutions & FastMoldRemoval.com, Clark Seif Clark, Zimmetry Environmental, ProcessMAP and Healthy Indoors magazine to name a few.
